Sitecore clouds, what are those?

Sitecore Symposium Announcements

With the announcements at the Sitecore Symposium last month, Sitecore now offers more products than ever. And with that, it can become difficult to see when you should be using what. Sitecore also recognizes this challenge and has helped us by grouping the Sitecore products into three Clouds. In the image below you can view them.

In the image, Sitecore has defined the Content Cloud (purple), Engagement Cloud (red) en Commerce Cloud (teal). Each cloud has its own focus and therefore a specific set of capabilities.

Content Cloud
Sitecore Content Cloud allows you to incrementally implement just what you need and integrate world-class solutions seamlessly with your existing tech stack.

Engagement Cloud
With Sitecore Engagement Cloud, brands have the tools they need - connect and activate customer data across the ecosystem, personalize with ease, and optimize every experience across every channel.

Commerce Cloud
Sitecore Commerce Cloud is the key to your commerce growth strategy, enabling businesses to acquire and engage new shoppers at any moment.

From my blog perspective, it has a focus on the Content Cloud. The main product that is covered here is the Content Hub. But with the new kids on the block, XM Cloud and Content Hub One, also the focus of this blog will shift more to Content capabilities rather than a product like Content Hub.

When we take a closer look at the Content Cloud group, we see three products that have overlapping capabilities. The products XM Cloud, Content Hub and Content Hub One can all be used for content creation and publication. The way how is different for each of the products.

In the next blog post, we'll dive more into the overlap and the differences.

Until next time!
